Any improvement using Postcodes

Hi Guys

A quick read here would seem to suggest that this new version does little to improve UK postcode handling. Is this true?

I still live in hope of being able to navigate to a postcode instead of a towm/address combo.

Has anyone heard anything more from TT on their plans for this? It may be a stupid question as I am sure the board would be full of comments on it - however I may have missed something over the last month or so.

Well, there's this:

which basically seems to say that TT never offered UK postcode search nor intends to offer UK postcode search.

I think it will only come when they do a major upgrade. They'll need to update some of the map databases, so it won't be a 3M download

Particularly so when you consider that "city" is often not the suburb your street is in, but one close by. Well, at least that's the case in GB.

I like the setup (freezing problems aside), but the address location is not top of my favourites. Postcode entry/location would resolve that, well at least for me it would.
