Yes you can, but for some stupid reason you need to create a blank folder on your SD card called 'TomTom'. You can do this by either hooking your Mio to your PC and creating it in Windows Explorer, or use 'File Explorer' from the Programs menu of your Mio. If you do that you should get the full 7 characters. |

Hmm i have put a folder called "TomTom" on my SD card, and inside the Great-bri folder. And not working still.
Or if it's meant to be working, what is meant to be happening?
I go to "Nav to" then "post code" and it only lets me get like B98 8 not the full B98 8SE.

You don't need a TomTom folder IN your map folder. Only next to it, so in the root. And also a folder ZIP with the postcode database.
So basically you have (at least) 3 folders on your SD:
\Great_Britain-Map\
\TomTom\ (can be empty)
\ZIP\
Do you have that?
If it still doesn't work, you might need to re-install de postcode file from your CD. |

You just need to run the the setup program on your map CD again - there is a seperate option to install the postcode files (which will create the zip folder for you). |

If it is only giving you 5 digit postcode functionality, I am fairly sure that it cannot see the postcode database.
I found that when I installed TTN5 it put the folder "ZIP" which contains the post code data onto the root of the SD card. A colleague told me it should be on the root of the PDA instead. I moved it there and the 7 digit postcodes worked fine. |

Hiya,
ive done what alot of people have told me and it now works.
I made a blank folder on my SD card called TomTom,
and also copied the ZIP folder to "My docs" on my PDA and it now works.
Very weird, but all is cool.
After taking the main map file out of great britian and changing it from Read only to normal file, it dont lose all my POI's, audio warning settings or the speed cam software or fav's.
It's all working perfect and i think Tom Tom 5 after doing all these mods, is great and perfect. Much better than Tom Tom 3. If people follow the mods on this great forum, then TOm TOm 5 is a very cool powerful Sat Nav.
Thanks to everyone.
