Can anyone please tell me how I make TT5 choose my old receiver automatically for use? I'm using an IPAQ H5450 with PPC2002, I have paired the the IPAQ with the receiver, but everytime I start TT5 it still asks me to select the receiver. Can I make it do it automatically? |

I'll suggest the obvious - is it set up as a trusted device? |

Trusted? I've never seen such on option in the Bluetooth Manager application. It is paired though.
Everytime I start TT5, Bluetooth then starts up and I'm taken to the Bluetooth Browser, where I'm asked to select the BT receiver. I just don't understand why I can't make it the default, so it doesn't keep going to the browser and it automatically selects the device. |

So, what is the experience of other IPAQ/PPC2002 users with their older BT GPS receiver? Anyone else have this problem, or am I just doing something wrong? |

That's how I've got it set, but still it goes to the BT browser and asks me to select it. |

You need to make the receiver a trusted device.
There must be somewhere that allows you to do this.
OK, I'm a Palm Treo 650 & Tungsten T3 user, and that is what I have to do. otherwise I have the same problem. |

Mmm....I can't find anything under PPC2002 for trusted devices...I assume the equivalent is pairing, which I have done. Unfortunately the bluetooth browser still pops up once TT5 is loaded.
I've tried all sorts, like starting bluetooth before starting TT5, deleting and remaking the pairing. I can't think what else to try.
Anyone? Perhaps this is normal? |

mine is not paired
i only detected it in the bluetooth manager then selected other gps on tomtom. you then need to select a bluetooth serial port when requested. there are only 2 showing on mine so if it not 1 it the other.. _________________ Ipaq 3970, Ipaq 2210 X2, Smart ST V1, Tomtom V3+V5, CoPilot V5, AA Navigator, Tomtom Bluetooth GPS, Navman 3450i Jacket, Navman Bluetooth GPS, Holux GM270, Fortuna GPS-PocketXtrack

Yeah, but does the bluetooth manager open up every time you load tomtom, so that you have to select it again? |
