TomTom 5 was running correctly on my iPAQ3970 the first time I used it. Unfortunately after a soft reset the error message "failed to start" appears when I try to run it again. Soft resets do not solve the problem.

Looks as though it is now OK. It required a careful re-install, missing out that TomTom Today - though that may not have been the problem.

Bizzarre! I just got this as well.

A hp hx4700, and I swear I was using it last night, and did nothing unusual!

Tomtom installed to ipaq file store. I'm using the built in file encryption too, but not on any tomtom folders.
