I had the same problem with my PC, the setup.exe file wouldn't work. I tried restarting my computer and tried again, this time it worked 1st time. I have downloaded the UK maps to my Quest together with this camera overlay and it works brill. It was easy in the end. It shows all Gatso sites, Red light camera sites, Mobile camera van sites and Specs (whatever they are ? I assume they are the cameras that record your average speed over a distance ?). It also tells you what speed limit the camera is sited in.

All we need now is the proximity warning.

Thanks for providing this overlay.

Someone has had a go at this for GPSV - dunno how up up to date it is or if it will work on the Quest. May be worth a look though. http://www.elsinga.net/gpsdownloads.html

i have just read the topic on the above - is it true that we cannot have voice alerts for speed cameras? i have donloaded all the waypoints successfully and if i select an individual point it will tell me when i arrive at this location, but not if i just drive past it - is there a way around this?

At my site ( www.elsinga.net/maps also know for the Quest FAQ, see below) I have a map of most mobile trap locations for the Netherlands.

The above mentioned file with speed trap locations is already over a year old. Source is www.radarfalle.de (subscription) or www.scdb.info (free if you link to them from your site). The quality of their database is quite good in the german speaking countries and the Benelux, but not optimal in France (use www.alertegps.com there). I don;t kow what the quality of the UK part of their database is. But: if you contribute a change, you get one year free at radarfalle/scdb. ;)

And no, the Quest 1 can't warn you if you approach a waypoint or POI on a transparent map... you need a Quest 2 for POI warnings.
