Guys,

I've had a couple of different versions of Co-Pilot, I upgraded to 5 about 8 months ago because I wnated the traffic reporting (which still seems not to be available!) GRRRR!! Evil or Very Mad

Everything has been fine (apart from my detour buttons not working!) but I recently downloaded the .22 patch from the website and installed it on the PC. Following the Instructions on the site I deleted everything Co-Pilot from my PDA (iPaq 3970), downlaoded the patch and then tried to reinstall the maps. That's when the problem started, the SD card (128MB) is empty and I have reformatted for good measure, on the PDA it confirms the capacity available but the Software on the PC refuses to recognise that there is any more than 6.9MB available Question

I've e-mailed ALK, but as yet I've had no response!!

Advice welcomed??

Don't try this with the storage card in the Pocket PC. You need to put the card into a card reader

Buy a card reader. There is no reasonable alternative to that.

So given you are the expert 8O , please explain why no issues downloading maps before I updated with the .22 patch? And now it won't play ball!!

Why will it work with a card reader and not thro the PDA? Confused

I don't know why it stops working through ActiveSync ( I would think that it might work after a reboot of your PC). I do know that a card reader is working all the time every time, and is much more robust on transferring large amounts of data.

Your call.

Laughing Read Through the previous postings and found a great one where you can save the maps to your C drive and then copy them across to the Storage Card using Explorer, a bit longwinded but it works!! 8)

The great news is that now, not only does the program work fine, the program now seems to recognise the remaining storage space on the card correctly so no future issues Rolling Eyes Or lets hope so!!

So don't believe everything you are told, no need to buy card readers, just need to be a bit creative! :D :D
