We were talking about the Classic not the 300. And they do and will work on both with the "file" that this thread is talking about. :P

I'm awaiting the inevitable i.e. this 'Great_Britain.Postal' file hitting the net.

Should someone be lucky enough to acquire this 'Great_Britain.Postal' file, where does it go or what does it replace on the v5 TTG?
Just interested, thats all!!
Cheers

Naturally it would go where it was installed by the TTN5 map/data installation programme. Joker

Should you be lucky enough, I believe it needs to go in a folder named 'zip' in the root directory of the TTG.

Chris,
I don't seem to have a folder named 'zip'.
I only have two folders showing on my PC thought the SD card. One named 'Great_Britian Navigator Map' which contains the ov2 files and one named 'itn' which contains a temporary itn file.
Where is this 'zip' folder?
Just interested to know!
Cheers

You won't have it unless you have the 'upgraded' maps.

It gets created automatically when you install the updated map.

However, there's nothing stopping you from creating a 'zip' folder yourself if you wish.

Not sure how to do that!
As you can gather, my technical knowledge is limited.
Is it easy?

With TTG connected to a USB port on your computer, it behaves just like an external disk drive. You can create folders on it by selecting it in Windows Explorer and then using the File/New/Folder menu.

Since 'acquiring' and using the Postcode zipfile would be illegal by any means other than purchasing it, does it really matter how easy it might be? You are treading on dangerous ground here guys.... Grrrr

Just installed the "ZIP" file from my new SD card to my old card & works fine, although I had to delete a few unwanted voices to make space. The file is 8+ meg and will fit on a 128meg card.
