Well deserved praise in deed! You can be proud of your achievements in creating and developing Pocket GPS World.
Thanks for the help and insight which has been provided here and which I am sure will continue with the team in place.
Good luck and fortune in your new endeavours. _________________ John

Thanks everyone for the great comments!
I have setup some tech forums on my own blog site at http://www.daveburrows.com which I'll be checking on a regular basis if anyone has any specific questions for me rather than paying for the "Ask Dave", and I'll definitely try and check in here as often as I can! |

Just to add my thanks to the rest, Dave - you have done a wonderful job, and I'm sure your successors will keep the standard up. But it's also good news that you will be at ALK - they seem to be unresponsive to comments about problems with CP5, but I'm sure that, from the battering you have received from certain members, you are only too aware of the issues! Best of luck

Good luck Dave, like so many, I owe so much.
This site helped me to get up to speed with GPS so quickly, and at a time when there was little info around and most people didn't even know what it stood for. One of the first things that struck me was the wonderful amount of detail in your reviews.
To me this site epitomises the very best of what the web is, or should be, about - people sharing knowledge and helping others.
Very many thanks for starting the web site.
Lucky ole ALK! |

Only been into GPS for a few months, but certainly would not have had such a fruitful time with it if, it were not for this site...many thanks Dave from all the newbies ! _________________ Tom Tom Go 730 |

Like the other moderators and team members, I've had a chance to thank Dave privately, but I wanted to thank him publicly as well.
Pocket GPS World and all its users owe a debt of gratitude to Dave for the vision and the support he has given. It's going to be a long time before anyone overhauls his post count!
All the best for the future, Dave - hopefully we'll catch up again "in real life" sometime soon.

I want to thank you Dave for all the good articles, replies and reviews I have read on this site.
I have done almost all my learning in the terms of GPS and navigation on this site, and therefore a lot of your work has been indirectly useful for the 3000 members in the Norwegian TomTom Forum.
So in the behalf of them I will thank you, and I will give you the best wishes for the future! _________________ Gunnar Nystul, Forum Admin, TomTom Forum Norway and Nystul Navigasjon |
