DOA ??

Dave, I've got similar probs to Dicky....only I'm hanging around in my garden trying to get a lock & no joy....is the out-of-the-box reliability of the clip-on as good as previous post suggest?

I got mine a couple of weeks ago from PDAMODS with the TOMTOM Navigator kit that they do....I have not yet been able to get a satellite lock that the software recognises....but then, the bluetooth connection to my Compaq Ipaq 3870 drops frequently......I have tried a 2nd unit, which does get a satellite lock - but no Blue tooth connection. The Ipaq talks fluently to other Bluetooth devices.

...incidentally, I have been making the bluetooth connection (when possible !) before starting the software....but thats not much use, as it doesn't know where 'Home' is !

Just in case, I ordered the external antenna that PDAMODS offer for the clip-on, but the plug is too big for the socket......and the supplier has gone very quiet!!!!


Can't say that I'm impressed. - Do you have any ideas that may help ?
