It says SD/mini/MMC/RS. Isn't that enough - it loads ok, green lights and windows sees it now.

As I said, it now reads the card as 8GB, and I can look at it, but it is reporting "write-protected". ...

There are better hands-free options available (to say the least). Better Google on-the-move services (via mobile) but not better Sat Nav products.

Plus: rds-tmc IS "built-in" to the 730T software. You just need to plug in the aerial to receive the real time updates.
