| It's a Secure Digital card, they contain an encrypted key. Without this the Satmap won't use the map. |

| I've found max battery life for the Active 10 with sensible power saving settings is about 12 hours. Would expect the Active 12 with it's higher rez screen, bluetooth and altimeter to be considerably ... |

Pop the SD Card in your card reader (assuming you have one) and it will appear in Windows Explorer as a hard drive, mine comes up as H:
You'll then see all the files including the maps. |

| Satsync deliberately hides maps. This was done in an update a while back, many folks were deleting the maps by mistake. |

Maybe it is or the unit I saw, but the display looks *incredibly* washed out on the Active 10 unit. For example, I could not really see the contour lines clearly at all once at the 1:25K level.

Settings - About
Then press the following buttons: top left, top right, top left
You'll get more detailed info on software revision and platform (firmware) ... |
