The Destinator 6 maps are Q1 2006 so it is difficult to be more up to date. I do not have Tomtom but I have seen that the mainland Spain maps in D6 are much better than the previous version.

Mato, you are correct the detail is the same. This makes sense since they both appear to use Navteq maps.
