The beanbag mat you refer to is not an official one, it's Arkon's as reviewed in the link in my post. Nothing to do with Tomtom.

The other one you link to is OK but doesn't work with some TT' ...

I think voice control only works if you have a "computer voice" selected. Try selecting a computer voice or download one from Home if there isn't one on the device.
