My complaint has just been sent by local Trading Standards to the Office of Fair Trading for their view. "Which?" have also been giving me some advice and have noted the policy for future reports.

Minimum period is always 3 months.
If you order a monthly sub on, say 16 June and cancel on 17 June, they'll "ignore" your cancellation notice until the next payment is taken on 16 July.
