You are far more likely to stop to read a map.
But then you have to retain a mental image of the route shown on the map, whereas with satnav you know you'll get spoken directions as you approach a tu ... |

stefanoza, I don't know where you get your information from but downloading the maps is only not free in regards to data charges, if you don't simply hook the phone up to a computer and download them ... |

Are there any nice 3rd party utilities which will display my speed? I don't think Checkpoint does. and anyway I am on WM5 so don't want anything that slows response to a crawl. |

a) Distracting.
b) I can no longer read what speed it says I'm doing (red on blue is not good contrast) just when I need it most.
