tomtom seem to manage to make a profit selling maps at 60€ each (about £40) compared to £69.99 for Medion.
Western Europe from tomtom is only €119 all in. |

| the price for maps is about right for market at the moment the data isnt cheep to buy from the map suppliers and cost has to be included for the time and cost it takes to fomat the map to the software ... |

I wonder why they think they are justified in charging £69 for maps that are 3 years old?
I may as well just install the old (but genuine) V4.75 with the European maps that I have. |

My question was not "will nav 5 maps work on nav4 software" but will "nav 4.2 maps work on nav 5 software"?
i.e. will the early maps run on the later programme? |

Will the navigator 4.2 maps work with navigator 5 on the Medion 96800?
I would expect navigator 5 to be backwards compatible - but am I wrong?
