I thought learners were limited to two-wheeled sewing machines.
The rules are complicated. Before you are allowed to ride anything, you need to do a days training "CBT" and then you can ride around ... |

I suppose that the advice was based on the fact that speedos always over read by a few percent.
That's probably the best explanation. If I see the instructor again I will ask him. |

If your speedo shows 31 in town, you are within the speed limit. If it shows 73 on the motorway, you are within the limit. BUT any driving examiner would fail you!
