Thanks Lutz,
it was not a matter of upgrading.
This is also good to know, if you have automatic keylock tuned on, when it activates TTN hangs without any error message or alert.

| Now I've left the app ver 2.05 on the device and downgraded the GPS to ver 2.02, it works, even if sometimes the TTFF is 15/20 min. Once on a trip I'll be very carefull not to turn off ... |

Still doesn't work with Destinator SiRF receiver (Leadtek 9531). I would be very curious to know if it works or not with any other SiRF unit!
I'm still angry with them.
