| About 5 mins before a 6 hour trip northwards I decided (as I'd just paid out £80 for a years traffic) to get any new updates. Did that, and then the TT would not boot up, it would just sit on the star ... |

| Funnily enough TomTom said to use the 407, but our paper map said it charged the toll to the car owner via number plate recognition, and as we had a "rental" car I wasn't sure what would happen. |

Fortunately I bought a USB mains charger off Amazon and got to a mains socket and charged it up. Seems fine. I left it on for 15 mins and there's maybe 85% of green showing in the battery meter.

Yeah I am using the original car charger that came with it, and the cradle it uses has a sealed cable running to the USB plug (so yes, am using the original supplied charging devices.
