I think you need to have the 'automatically start Home on connection' or whatever it is set, to be offered it without prompting.
Mac version is 2.8.0.1019

I won't be buying any new products. If 3rd party poi support is ever removed from my 730, I will stop buying new maps and just buy another company's sat nav. ... |

| downloaded today via tomtom home without any problems, but had to reboot computer after installation, apart from that all seems to work ok with windows 7 |

yes i always do a back up via home and explorer, just didn't realise the settings was in the "mapsettings.cfg" file
