Cool! I tried the same thing for Eurodisney and it workout out the route no problem. It will only have the main roads but that far better than nothing! This is great for the Occaional trip to Europe. ... |

The basemaps are pretty hopeless in my experience but perhaps the i3's ones have improved.
Take the memory card out of your i3 and take it for a drive if you want to see what they are like....

try a cheap mobile phone holder, they feature a metal disc/magnet attachment. never used one for a phone, but guess they will work with the aerial.
