I have tried and tried but no way can I get the maps to show.
I have saved them in various folders on the SD card but the software so far never sees a map?

Well i dont know for sure with the Garmin, but on a Mio 269, it used to vary the warnings etc and "hugely" vary them.
If i set it to cyclist, I'd be gone through the junction before it would even com ... |

And also try playing around with the settings under vehicle type
This will decrease or increase the warning time based on "assumed" speed for each vehicle |

Regarding the early warning, have you gone into the settings and changed vehicle type?
This will adjust the warning distance accordingly. |
