My XL works OK from a USB adaptor and lead - and also using the USB socket.

Only problem I have found was that one of my USB / cig lighter adaptor was the wrong power rating

Just replaced by old 740 with an XL2.

When reading the instructions I am told to go to the "preferences" menu for some setings - such as hidden buttons and features.

I have tried this with a new lead but still get the same error message.

I have been running the map on an SD card but do not have a copy of the info on the TT!!

My trusted TT &40 GO seems to be throwing up a problem when I connect to computer - and I have this problem on both my computers - and I get the message "USB device not recognised"
