Bit of a long shot but have you got your map installed to a memory card and putting the spoken alerts in to the map folder on the device per chance?

Being a 750 the latest European map doesn't fit ...

Yes I unziped the files. I did this on 13 Jan but I have noticed the date on files is last years?

And map folder is called what? Just to clarify, the database files don't go in the folder called 'map' but the map folder whose name will depend on what map it is you have installed i.e. United_Kingdo ...

And can you confirm in which folder you have saved the .ogg files on your device?

The U.K speed zonecomp; + ogg download file both put into map folder

Are you sure the folder structure on the new card is exactly the same as the older card?
