I just paid £27.80 for the Map Update Service - United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, I think it was the same as last year, I think its pretty good value

I don't know if you have got it sorted yet, but there are two different types of these. Both have the gps button but the one I bought was not advertised as having gps so it is disabled.

I have just found it, when you download a route it puts it on your pc in the tomtom folder in my documents, there is nothin ...

Just downloaded a bbc route from tomtom home to my go530, although I can see it on my unit through home, I can not find it when I turn my tomtom on, does the 530 support routes? cheers

Is it worth useing, can it be trusted, and what setting should you use, strict high medium or low.I have mine on medium at the moment

I always use a PDA - mobile vent mount for my go 530, no problem at all, I gave up with the suction mount the second time it fell off, bounced off the dash and on to the floor of the car.

The default startup and shutdown images on every TomTom I have ever had, have been .bmp files NOT .jpgs

If you are seeing bad resolution, I suggest you try resaving our image from scratch as a .bmp ...

The thumbnail picture on the TomTom site is 100x57. However, if you click on it, a larger version opens on a separate page. THIS is the one you want to download, not the thumbail.

I noticed the splash screens that were already on the go530 were jpeg, so I downloaded as a jpeg changed the size to 480x274 and it fits ok now, although the resilution seems crap!

Just downloaded a widescreen nissan splash screen from tomtom,saved it as a 24bit bmp and loaded it where the others are on my go 530. Turned the unit on and the nissan screen is there, but very small ...
