The Holux GR-236 has a switch and the newest chipset too. You want it to stay on all the time, so you don't have to re-fix. Current draw is infinitesimal.

the title of your question is actually misleading - what you need is a receiver that DOES have a on/off switch. Most of the older receivers have one, like the Emtacs. You can then leave those switched ... |
