i did a hard reset on my unit and it made no difference at all:-(

after talking to garmin, i swapped my unit and got another 765t.

updated software and maps....

what a difference, t ...

i used to have a garmin 660fm which was a fantastic unit.
never let me down, fast to re draw and was quite smooth at moving around the screen.
i have updated the unit to a garmin 765t.

you are probably right, an upgrade every 2 years might be the way to go.
as you state every where i have been of late my unit has got me there every time with no fuss.
