Still no luck I'm afraid - I can delete the shortcut no problem but it finds it again next time you do a search and it won't delete from the BT Browser window!
Trouble is that I now can't connect to the replacement receiver (they bond but daon't 'talk') as the original settings must also be stored in the cache too? I borrowed ...
