I put in the "western europe maps" folder which had nothing in it.
Should it go in the "western Europe" folder which has 907 mB of files in it, I assume these are the map files.

Yeh

The files downloaded are "pocket_uk_gatso_50" (bitmap image)

They are shown on tt HOME as "Western Europe-Map\pocket Uk Mobile 40"
