After a 15 min cold start, it now works a treat 
(oh, and I used the navman serial driver update found [url=http://www.navman.com/land/serial_driver.html/]Here)
(seems to work better on TT ... |

let me clarify:
looking to use my 3400 sleeve with tomtom2 (I don't like SmartSt Pro- it keeps crashign and hanging) do I need to install the NAVMAN GPS controller?
or can I use 'GPS status' from ... |

i tried NAVMAN3100 and no joy..
would it be an NMEA option?

well i might take a look at TT3 as it has an intinerary planner (essential as far as Im concerned) and a postcode lookup plug in...
i think i may put smartST back onto ebay.. |

Is there an app that writes out navman POI compatible files like POI edit does for TOmTom?
I really like POI edit, but had persistent problems with TT2.. now using NM3400 and navman sw.
