I don't use the audio alerts (I use the device on a motorbike) but my other devices alert via the screen (either in a pop up or on a banner) but I'm not seeing any kind of alert, audio or visual.

I'm not familiar with the 276CX, but if you built the .GPI file and it had associated audio in a format the 276CX doesn't support, it might do this - though defaulting to a 'bong' is more ...
