I hope that despite TomTom's offering that the PocketGPS database maintains it's excellent quality :D

I bet tomtom hope that as well. Its probably here that they get their data.

Yeah had seen this thread already but kind of dismissed it thinking that TT wouldn't produce a mounting kit complete with RJ connection for GPS specifically for a PDA if that PDA wasn't comp ...

Finally got it sorted. Not too sure what I did different to the previous 50 attempts, it doesn't matter now.

Get a cheap bluetooth dongle for your main pc, plug it into a usb port and activesync using bluetooth. If your bed is within 10m of your pc, you can browse the web this way.

I was using outpost firewall, I've changed to Zonealarm and it hasn't happened since. The IP address was definately for the tomtom site. Very strange.

I see that from the streetmap site, pocket streetmap is being sold. I am testing it now, seems faily usefull, even has built in speed camera location and warnings.

According to multimap, that postcode has the co-ordinates, 53:15:45N (53.2625), 2:59:07W.

You can manually input these into tomtom.
