nothing wrong at all with the price - that's why I quoted it.
Just that I wanted European wide mapping - looking to use it touring abroad, that's all - hence the sad face - I suppose an upgrade can ... |

e Route option only works on the 7xx series and above. Those cost over £150 and aren't waterproof.

Water proofing isn't the issue - I am looking for a system that I can use on my bike and car - I would put the GPS unit in my waterproof map pocket on my tank bag at ... |

Sorry for being a noob, but am looking for a GPS that directs me on a pre-planned route that I've done on my PC.
None of the product specs of the cheap(ish) ones seemed to mention this capability.
