As long as you have a Product Code and Device Code that are legal they will send you the activation code.

I had a Customer Code, when I registered on the Garmin website, mine was seven digit.

The 300 also comes with NT, but the City Select maps work ok. I know the 300 doesn't use TTS, but worth a try.

Have to agree with you there. Travel to a friends in Biddulph and the NUVI 300 uses the most unimaginable route out, which like you say you could only get down with a 4x4. Sad

If I remember rightly, even with the proximity alert switched on, you are only warned if you have a route planned. If your using the Nuvi just as a map they don't show up. I could be wrong haven't had ...
