As I understand it GPS uses radio waves to communicate with Satellites so it doesn't need line of sight as long as it isn't going through too much matter.

It kept on asking me to go down one way streets and really small roads when I know if I just stayed on the main one I would get there.

Forgot to say that tomtom seems to pick up the GPS sometimes and I get the gps fix but it just doesn't seem reliable and the fix is off about 50 meters.

I have finally got everything together and have configured it as I think it should be. The socket BT comes up as com5 on the loox. Cruxview works fine on com5 and 384 ...

have you tried to charge the emtac with the supplied ac power adapter for the loox? I have got the socket branded one and it didn't come with an ac adapter !! Don't see why i can't ...
