Install 5.1. This fixes (most of) the issues you have.

Had the same problem with lock ups. Took four attempts before it installed properly.

Forgot to mention that when TT5.1 is running the PDA still runs as hot as a hot thing on a hot sunny day in the sahara ....
What about under clocking the Dell?

Installed TT5.1 on my Dell Axim x50v.
It took 4 attempts in total, 2 freezes on the PC mid install, 1 freeze on the PDA mid install, 4th time it worked ok.

In TT3 we were given the options to move icons within the menu pages, assign hardware butons etc. I cannot find this facility in TT5, anyone know more than me?

The maps are better- great, but I really don't think it was ready for release. Mine crashes constantly, I have to hide POIs, connect a GPS to plan routes, etc. Come on that's just stupid.

Excellent report, I'm sure many people will find it usefull. The "via" option is indeed a great feature.
But no substitute for the excellent and much missed "avoid area" feature in TT3..... |
