Mag north points to the north-pole of the "magnet" Earth. This is a point, but it's location is not at the north-pole.

Magnetic north point is actually moving slowly around.

My best bet is some contact problems.

On my SD-card the paper-label had come loose and had crept up in a corner of the card. Looked like a mess and prevented the card from getting good contact.

I looked into the map-file that represent a route and finds each of the waypoints defined like this (had to remove the start and end tag):


Point North="1435634720" East="1 ...

I did suspect it was the map.


The norwegian detailed maps looks like a bitmap (no vector) which is being scaled to fit the zoom.


The basemap (no SD-card) is a bitmap as well. ...
