I do mean RJ11 as my in-car mount uses it as an adaptor for GPS charging and neither that lead (tried 3 thinking it was a faulty cable) not my phone (T-Mobile MDA Pro) will charge the GPSlim 236

I'm guessing not, because a 3rd party rj11 to miniUSB lead doesn't work, nor does my phone charger, both seem to hard reset the device.

Thanks for that, according to GPS viewer, I had the latest firmware anyway.
I've hard reset the unit and it seems to be alright now, I guess even with the new firmware the 236 is just a little flak ... |
