I took mine with me to Corfu, I asked the stewardess was it ok to use it and she said yes no problem

took about 15 mins to get sattallite fix though

I tried the smarites guide at first, but all it did was remove my GPS completly

your right to assume the com port is the same as the one set in the GPS (com 6 in your case)

MM > GPS > setup, I needed to set the baud rate to 38400 and specify the same bluetooth port that Tomtom uses (com8 on mine ...
