Satmap did reply and advised reloading the software. Connecting to the PC woke the A10 up and I'm now awaiting a full charge before trying the new version out.

With new firmware, Satlock from cold start, outside, in 1 minute 25 seconds. Not bad!

Sat lock with my device is strangely inconsistent: sometimes I can get lock in the house and others not; acquisition can be quite fast when standing still, then interminable or not at all when walking ... |
