I just tried to connect my tomtom again to make a backup and it now doesn't work anymore again. Even the steps I described above don't have any effect anymore.

I can confirm that my newly arrived TomTom 950 bluescreens Windows 7 64 bit Enterprise as soon as I connect it to the usb port.

| I tested the software in XP and Vista SP2 compatibility mode with no luck. I believe the problem is the USB driver for the TomTom device which when loaded immediately crashes the computer |
