It works fine with other apps such as Co-Pilot but not its own map.

I am not sure what to change within settings.

I have gone through the settings a number of times but can't see how to get pop-up alerts when using STA's own map.

It works fine with Co-Pilot and Magic Earth on an Android phone.

What am I doi ...

Do the confirmation alerts update the PGPS database? If not, how do you stop them being shown?

Make sure that the SD card is formatted correctly, i.e. something like FAT32. That may be the problem.

Its own database isn't that good.

It uses KML files (see N Drive) and installation is quite straightforward (see their website).

Look at Magic Earth. It has downloadable maps, thereby saving on roaming charges. It also allows you to import your own PoIs, which is handy. It has traffic as well.

Best of all, it's FREE!

I was trying to download just the Lidl locations as OV2s to update my satnavs but all supermarkets were in the downloaded file.

The only ticked boxes were UK, supermarkets and Lidl. Thinking ...

Yes, this happened a few times. In the end I downloaded it to my computer and used Mapinstall. That went fine.

Yes, I have the same problem when using the widget. I now start Speedtrap alert, go back to the main screen and start Copilot. That works OK.

The blue speed widget is also showing the speed limit occasionally. I have gone through each of the settings but can't find a way to switch it off.

Help please!
