Garmin 2589 seems to vary the icons it shows for cameras since I added wav sound to the database on an SD card.
The nearest camera to my house is mobile and when I select 'view map' it appears on screen sometimes as a PGPSW mobile icon and sometimes as a small black square. Similarly, if I scroll to the nearest fixed camera this shows as a small black dot or a 30 icon. Scrolling further out known cameras show as black dots. Running a simulated route past both locations gives no warning sound or banner.
Whilst typing the above the low battery alert has popped up on the sat nav and it shut down so I have connected charger and restarted sat nav. Now there are no icons or black dots. Removed and replaced SD card but still no Custom POI bar to tick on first attempt. After second remove/replace card Custom POI appears but no still no icons or squares on map.
Any help please? |

Sounds like you have 2 sets of cameras on there and depending on which activates first depends on which icon you see.
Next time you upload to the device use the POILoader remove option first. _________________ Satnav:

I first thought the Garmin was faulty but using another SD card with an older camera database it is working properly.
I suspect the download is corrupted. I also note the PC SD slot may be a bit iffy.
I'll do another download on my laptop and see what happens. |

New download has sorted it. Should have thought of that first!
