All,
Can you help, I have about £350 to get PDA with Satnav. But the more i look around the more confused i am getting.
I spent a lot of time on the road, and i am feed up with printing maps of from multimap.
The more i have looked into it the more i think i would like to go for Tom tom 3 software but what would be the best PDA.

Thanks

TomTom 3 wired GPS is around £140 so this would allow you £210 to spend on a PDA.

It's difficult to suggest the best PDA but at £220 the iPAQ 2210 is a good one. It's the one I have but I don't want to be biased.

There is also the Toshiba E400 at £199
Asus A600 at £206
Or the iPAQ 1940 at around £190

...the list goes on.

You could consider the Mitac Mio...a PDA with integrated GPS at £299

I would suggest you shortlist some and then post back.

I have the tomtom 1940 mount which seems to be quite good (charges the gps and pda) I bought:
HP IPAQ 1940 £179
TOMTOM BT GPS £160
TOMTOM car kit £39
Kingston 256mb SD card £35

Which is £413 (ouch, hadnt worked that out before!)

I know its £63 more, but it all works and having a good cradle which charges every thing is essential (to me) on long trips.

totalpda have a deal on at the moment i think its £229 for an ipaq1930 powered cradle with amplified speaker and wired gps and tt3 software basic set up but looks ok to sart with if satnav and basic pda is what you want

ive moved this topic to the beginers forum as i feel that s where it should be
