Which CF receiver

Hi all, I have an ipaq 2210 and am thinking about fitting a CF card GPS receiver to view memory maps while out walking!
What make would the members or this forum recommend that would give me the best performance combined with optimum battery life per charge.?(Any ideas as to how long that might be?)
If I use this type of system does it mean I would have to buy an SD card or is there a receiver available that allows a CF card to be used as well?
