Hi, I have a serial GPS (Garmin) that I want to use in the car with my Ipaq 3875. Can I use the cradle without power to connect the serial cable? The GPS gets power from the car.

Thanks,
BR Per-Arne, stockholm

You can use the cradle with serial cable without power.
But you need a null modem adapter in between to connect both serial cables.

A simpler solution is to get a "serial interface" for the Ipaq which can be found here:

I do not think you have the right one.
You may have a modem cable. But a null modem adapter is nothing to do with modem.
You need a 9-pin male>male null modem adapter, not a mere gender changer.
