hi all
i have a tomtom one europe with lifetime map updates that i only use when i travel abroad. if i happen to not use it for say a year and there has been 3 or 4 map updates in that time, will my map update default to the latest one or would i have to install previous versions first?
only reason i ask is that some years ago i had an older tomtom that i decided to update maps on after a period of around 3 years and i'm sure i first had to purchase and update to a newer map before i could continue with regular updates - or am i mistaken?
many thanks. |

The older one had, I suspect, a map subscription. Indeed, that required first an update to the (then) current map and then it included four more over a year.
Lifetime maps, however, shouldn't require your first updating to, say, 905, then 910, 915 etc. before being offered 925 sometime in February.
BUT, you did have to register the lifetime maps when you first got the device.
At least, I think you'll find it works that way. _________________ David |

hi
thanks for reply.
yes the older model did have a map subscription as you describe. the new one has already been updated from when it was bought in august of last year, but i do not recall registering for lifetime maps.
do you know how you go about this as i don't recall reading this in the literature in the box?
many thanks. |
