Do poi's get completely overwritten when transfering?

Off to France with the Zumo550 and have downloaded the current europe database - minus France.
If I had France in there previously, will it now be erased?

Yes, it should be if you have used the same name for the Europe POIs as you had before.

Best way to check is to connect to your computer and remove the .gpi files. Then reinstall the POIs.
