Medion MD41800 and TT2

Hello people,
Can anyone offer me some advice? I have looked through the forums and I do not think this question has been asked.
I purchased the latest Aldi bundle and it works fine, this is a second unit for my wife’s car. I recently upgraded my TT2 to TT3 and thought I would now install my redundant TT2 onto the Medion unit.
I can register the software ok and then my troubles begin. TT2 crashes after a minute or two when it does stay up looking for an address locks the unit completely.
I have tried every permutation of loading i.e. everything to the default locations everything to my SD card. I have used this card in my IPAQ 3950 since TT2 was first released without a problem. I have also tried using the medion card that came with the unit no joy.
I have also formatted the cards ( fat) done a hard reset, everything apart from shouting at it and hitting it with a stick.
