|
|
Hi all
ive just taken advantage of the TT map offer of a years maps for £16.24
i backed up my TT and downloaded the map. it loaded fine but now i have 2 folders of new western europe which is 1.77gb 304 items in folder and the original western and central europe which is 2.22gb 339 items in folder.
it seems like its copied all my speed cameras and poi across to the new folder so why the big difference in size and items.
what i would like to know is can i just copy the items of the new folder and over write them into the original folder as im guessing the TT will still use the original folder on startup.
thanks

Is there not a clue in the names of the folders? What happened to Central Europe? |

ask a stupid question
but the main question was can i copy the new one and over write the old one and then hopefully the central europe should still be there as it wont be over written as its not in the new folder. |

It doesn't work like that.
The Central & Western Map is a one map 'block' of data. There aren't two separate maps as such.
Each map has a series of dat files, and the size of these will give a clue as to how big the map is. If/when you copy these over, all you will do is delete the W&C Europe map and end up with another copy of the Western Europe Map. _________________ Richard
